Escape the Night

It's Friday, I feel alright
I should go out tonight
Or I could stay at home, get stoned alone and sit here on my own
The party is only down the road
So I'll sink a few more drinks because there's no one that I know
My habits, unseemly
Are more than just a quirk
And temperance never seems to work

I've only been to events where to sin
Escapes the night
But if I go to a place that I know
I'll sin all night

It's Sunday the fun day comes
I'm in the box again
Surrounded head to toe by wooden pious old men
I'll count these little beads and pout
And steal the wine, the bread and the basket on the way out
My habits, unseemly
Are more than just a quirk
And temperance never seems to work

I've only been to events where to sin Escapes the night
But if I go to a place that I know
I'll sin all night

It's Friday, I feel alright
I should go out tonight
Or I could stay at home, get drunk alone and sit here on my own
The party is only down the road
So I'll sink a few more drinks because There's no one that I know
That I know
That I know
That I know
That I know
That I know

I've only been to events where to sin Escapes the night
But if I go to a place that I know
I'll sin all night
