The time has come
I never thought it would
As I'm flying far above
The horizon that I never
Thought I could cross

I hope I float when you hold me up
I hope I have the strength to keep me
Lighter than air in your arms
So I'm easy to support

Sometimes people get heavy
Takes some strength to just keep yourself upright
Gets real easy to buckle under the stress of life when
You're holding up the weight of something that's given up

So remember
Even if your ligaments
Are tearing
I'll be trying my hardest to hold me up

Though I'm burdened there's a fortress deep within me
That keeps it out of your view
I maintain it so my load looks light as can be
That way I can help you

Sometimes my soldiers riot when I treat them badly
And all my stress will break through
I'm working hard to keep them organized all nicely
Until the day I'm improved

Muscles strained from all the weight you're gaining
Til a voice comes out from your brain
Whispering things you've never heard before
You start to lose your grip
Stop before you start to slip
Can't just run away
From the treachery
That accompanies
Ones without some durability
Tossed aside as broken
And never again regarded
Lost without any trace

Left to your wits as nothing but a headcase
Scorned by those that held your weight
Defeated
Your doom is awaiting
The outcome makes you likely to push back the hands of fate

You've seen the future now your feel your strength regaining
Those baseless whispers subdue
Though in that second seemed like life was at its ending
Time's come to continue

With every stumble comes another new beginning
Despite looking like a fool
I'll march on forward cause I find my path interesting
No matter how great or cruel

I know I'll soar when you hold me up
