One Twin Flower

One Twin Flower withers
Although she's been drinking
The same water as her sister

Those young dreams and visions
Fade away in idle time
Frail is the memory

Cruel is fate
Who looks above the shoulder
And with needle hands
Chooses whom to take away

Now the other flower
Rests alone breathing the sun
It will set under the mountains

Red is the sky
When shadows grow longer
And bright shines a star
Against the dark hours of the night

Don't let sorrow turn to stone
It is only weighing you down
Beneath the surface of an ocean
Beneath the surface of an ocean

Wise is the will to live
Setting you free
Swim back into the light of day
Swim back into the light of day
Swim back into the light of day

One Twin Flower withers
Finally to meet
The same ending as her sister

Cruel is fate
Who looks above the shoulder
And with needle hands
Chooses whom to take
Red is the sky
When shadows grow longer
And bright shines a star
Against the dark hours of the night
