In the Garden

Weeds grow tall
In the garden we sewed
I don't know
If they're still growing

I still find
Coffee stains on my mind
Even when I try
To leave them all behind

These fields were mine
And those old dusty cars outside
They're all intertwined
Painting strokes on the artwork inside my mind
Take that old train line
To the next stop in town there's a beautiful fire
I'm not saying I miss it
I just knew it was mine

Leave my soul
In the garden, we'll go
Chase our old ghost, find our story
Mystery unfolds like a maze in the backyard
It's a beckoning star, carry me carry me carry

These trees were mine
And those green poison ivy vines
Now they're walls of white
Once a child's inner wonder now a pain on the eyes
Take your hand in mine
We're discovering new worlds in old fashioned times
Can you see the past
Can you feel the light
