I Stand Alone

Hollow, sentenced to rot
Weathered to brutality, crumbling to naught
A figure, that when the soul has passed
Through those feeble effigies, alone will stand

The walls of sanctuaries fall
Where bane is all that lingers
While the ravages of time
Prove sovereignity denied

The arms of Mother Nature sprawl
Through the ides of groaning change.
Lo; her seeds are buried
Her true home shall be reclaimed

A life forgotten in a sea of rust
The echoing sonority deafening en masse
The makers and their swollen craft
And through their feeble effigies, alone it stands

The walls of sanctuaries fall
Where bane is all that lingers
While the ravages of time
Prove sovereignity denied

The arms of Mother Nature sprawl
Through the ides of groaning change.
Lo; her seeds are buried
Her true home shall be reclaimed

One final sound is made; a torrent rain of torpor
As a cacophony of memories is drowned
Under traces of the fey
With firmament and fermentation
Once impervious, now ravaged on a declining world

Falling deeper, in this mire
Disappearing
I stand alone

No tendance, silence remains
Disappearing
I stand
I stand
I stand alone
