Empty Nest

Another month has come and gone
And I'm still losing sleep
Even my dreams keep me awake
And it's difficult to breathe

I look for you but all I find
Is an empty nest
My life seems such a mess

When you pay me no attention
Even my shadow is feeling sad

And where there used to be attraction

Summertime really left us dry
As winter comes blowing in
It's nights like these that are killing me
As the seasons change again

I used to greet each waking day
With you by my side
Now the valley just seems too wide
