As the Casket Closed

The serenade angered me
As it sang me to sleep
Inviting my bloodless form
To sink into slumber

Movements in rhythm from under my flesh
Like worms in my veins
Dragging me with them to rest
And their actions I still would detest
Yet another horror I'm forced confess

Alone

Foolish surrender of trust
Churned and lost to dawn from dusk
Stalked by shadows with my eyes closed
Their faces blank
With only their teeth exposed
Finger tips would dig into my feet
As I'm drug further to the underneath

The passage with vague images transpire
Nailing their purpose
Until the end of it, yet the hollow would seem so bottomless

And drag me to sleep

Beckoned reasonings from countless screams
Distort the sound as it dawned on me
Familiar voices would call like a choir
Recollection as I descend into the pit

Such anomalies would peak my attention
Barking, snarling, luring me in with them
The darkest of matter in the time that was lost within

The hollow would call to me in the ending

In this dissent
The weight splits my skin
Life force is toppling
With pain induced vomiting

Suddenly and sickeningly
Awake it stands right beside me
Called forth for collection
Lay the tokens on my eyes

Deeper I sink

The broken bare witness
My body laying lifeless
My thoughts alive despite this
My eyes would close, the light dims

Dust would fester in my lungs
Staining every word I have sung
With sewn shut eyes visions appear
And their ear piercing sermons so unclean
Stalking like a heard of jackals
As the casket closed again
