Ghostly Love

Your love
Found me in a ghost world
I want
To live and to breathe
Torn up
Like so many old poems
Turns out
You're all that I need

Break free
From my shadow prison
Give me
The magic I seek
Body
Engage with your rhythm
Our joy
Is a guarantee

On the other side it's dark and lonely can you hear me
Calling out with every fiber superstitiously
I'm a ghost but corporality seems far more foreign
Through the veil I'm singing notes from my new symphony
Melody reminds of tides that Charon called forth calmly
Psychopomp brought me to measure how my heart would weigh
Maybe you could hear the drum beat pulsing gently onward
Bring me right back from the brink of true eternity

Our love
Is simple and complex
We know
The difference between
We dance
Among stars and black holes
Exceed
The pace of light speed

I see
The form of a flower
Which grows
Where we place our feet
Shine on
The sunlight surrounds us
Turns out
You're all that I need

Ghostly love made me a better man and fully human
Now I'm following the steps of greater men than me
I transcend to vistas fantastic I can't imagine
What the future has in store but I'll wait patiently
Ghostly love I knew the moment that I heard you promise
That our hearts would intertwine together mystically
It's been done a billion times but feels so brand new to me
We'll go forward down our path in spellbound synchrony
