Mary's Lamb

Mary had a little lamb
Who's fleece was white as snow
Everywhere that Mary went
That lamb was sure to go
His fleece was white as snow
Followed her everywhere she'd go

That lamb followed her to school one day
Which was against the rules
It made the children laugh and play
To see lamb at school
Which was against the rules
You can't bring your lamb to school

So the teacher kicked him out
But he stayed close by
Waited patiently about till Mary was back by his side
Till Mary was back his side

What makes the lamb love Mary so all the children cried
Well Mary loves that lamb so much teacher replied
And each you gentle animals in confidence you may bind
Let them follow at your call if you are always kind

That lamb followed Mary all across the land
Learned everything there is to learn that you could learn as a lamb
Alright everybody do your lamb dance
One of those things that lamb learned is how to play the trumpet
And that lamb played the saddest trumpet solo you ever did hear
It went like this

That lamb learned all his a b c's and one two three's
And the next thing you know that lamb started his own school
But it was a cool school, you could bring your lamb
You could bring your dog, you could bring your cat
On second thought don't bring your cat to school that's a bad idea
