Turns in the Lock

The key turns in the lock
I throw my whole body against the door
I scream at the top of my voice

The evil people did this
They put me through unimaginable pain and suffering
Suffering that I don't want to look back on

And she, she just stood there
The situation was black and white
Not grey, not in the middle ground
Wrong, wrong, wrong

Stood there, gossiping
Probably talking about who dumped who on TV yesterday
They all knew I was there
They all knew who locked me in that minuscule room
Yet, they kept quiet
Protecting their little job
That wasn't even gonna last another five years

I pulled down posters
Tore up pages
Taking out all that unavoidable frustration
Still locked in

The lock turns in the door
Those evil people see the devastation caused by the earthquake
The earthquake was me

The words begin to flow out of their mouth
The words that we won't repeat
The words that we'll never stop thinking about
Yet won't even begin to try and think about

I run
I run
I run
I run
I run
