Time Forgotten

Time Forgotten passes like snow; fast and all at once, slow
Flickers past the eye like a staticky tv
Something not beheld, but something always seen
In this little pocket of expanding universe
Expanding into what? you ask, a question wrongly cursed
Expanding is a state of being flowing out and on
Not through the soupy black of space but through the Time Forgotten

The snow has fallen thick and fast, it piles up ahead
Like carpet squashed beneath a ruthless scraping sofa leg
You wade in deep, you feel a kind of stretching in the air
Time Forgotten, felt at last, and you're no longer there
