Blood Simple
I ain't write in a minute
I mean to let that spark up out your heart never diminish
To put your pain upon a page and pray your forgiven
I have loved some people I'm estranged
Strange, change the way we were raised to listen
Learned that when it rains we all get wet
Except some get drenched and others just step
Into puddles like crushing bugs under they feet
And we all seek freedom and that why I read
It's why people pray to god each night for they sleep
Hope of salvation, say grace but don't say I'm weak
Cause fact of the matter I was a better person
Before I started searching to stop hurting and maybe release
Some of my greatest dreams
Seen life ripping at the seams
I'm quite driven it seems
I might listen for weeks
Incite pain in my knees
18 years walking and quite often
I remind myself, no stopping
When I met Denzel told him he was a god and
I shook his hand, said thanks I know he's forgotten
But told him we'd meet in ten years and if it occurs
I said the same thing to Quinten, so self-assured
Through an open car window hoping my heart
Open with ease, telepathy
Maybe it's recognition or retribution
Restitution for everything I've seen
Born into a world worried bout death by time I'm a teen
I'm sorry for ranting
It's better than running
I'm Benjamin Button cause I stand
As the world just falls to my knees
Cried when DOOM died cause he was like a hero to me
Taught me that a string of words
We're more than just random verbs
Can't express how much it hurt to see him leave
I don't know what I'm gonna be
But I'm gonna be so might as well
Search for peace as they gunning me down
Youngling stuck in the mouth of madness
Feedback sadness, these raps salvage
Whole from ashes, whole from half-bits
Hope when tragic smokes the masses
Move slow like the flow molasses
Don't know where to go so I wrote this passage
Pass it around like remotes, smokes, and bad jokes
Let's note this magic, of the divine intervention
My intention is to spread intuition and motivation
To those who saying they can't do it
Must get through it
Yeah you got this man now don't be foolish
Yeah you got this man now don't be foolish
Yeah you got this man now don't be foolish
Yeah you got this goddamn now don't be foolish
In a lonely place, last few years
In a lonely place, last few years
In a lonely place, last few years
In a lonely place, In a lonely place
I been
I mean to let that spark up out your heart never diminish
To put your pain upon a page and pray your forgiven
