You Wrote Me a Poem

If i was to sit on this bed for long enough
Then maybe i'd figure it all out
But i don't think that's how this work
In fact i'm not sure of much at all

I guess that's what you get when you spend your life scared
And one day you decide that's not who you want to be
I'd like to say that i don't regret a thing i've done
But i guess that can't apply when i hate who i was

I just don't want to be
Pieces of a broken clock
Ticking through your life
I just want to be holding your hand
At the end of the world

'Cause if it wasn't for you i don't think i'd have written this part on my guitar

Usually i'm scared to write lyrics that are easy to understand
But i think you deserve for me to try
And opening up is scarier
When i don't know who i'm doing it to

I think that i'm so used to being scared
That when there's no reasons left i make them in my head
I was wrong coz someone taught me how to speak
I'm just scared to use the wrong words

I just don't want to be
Pieces of a broken clock
Ticking through your life
'Cause we're all just dust
Oh if we're all just dust
Then please let me love you

You wrote me a poem
So i wrote you this song
You wrote me a poem
So i wrote you this song
