Day is Night

'Round and 'round we go, and who knows what for
With every open window there's an open door
Some say they know what's right and how the story ends
But once they see the light they won't be back again

I guess we're all human
One way or another we'll all get through it

We're born and every other day is night
It gets too dark, it gets too bright
You're upside down and your left is right
And even food begins to bite
And the hand that feeds you grabs ahold your tongue
And it questions all those words you sung
Can't tell what my world is coming to
When I look down and there's no laces on my shoes

I guess we're all human
One way or another we'll all get through it

Run inside, tell the crowd to quiet down
Soon as you leave you don't hear a sound
You see me fixed in my little stare
Laughing at a TV screen but there's no picture there
And what happens when something splits apart?
Does it die out quick, or does it spark?
Can you guess who I'm talking to
When I look in the mirror and I scream "you"?
