Wild Bill

This song tells the story
Of the Caribbean Murderer
This tale knows no glory
Darkness covering paradise

Most gringos come down here to run from the stress
For a slice of paradise, to relax and feel blessed
But a troubled mind also came to Panama
To escape the rat race or maybe the law
Between the green palms on a lonesome road
He lived his new life in the tropical mode
People partied at his house for the guns and the thrills
That's how he got known by the name Wild Bill
Wild Bill was a guy with a dangerous vibe
He had a scary physique and a fucked up mind
He had a house sign made out of a crossbone skull
Lived his life there like he owned the world
Still the people 'round him didn't quite realise
That the new kid in town was the devil in disguise
They didn't really get to see his true face
Even when his neighbours went missing without a trace

This song tells the story
Of the Caribbean Murderer
This tale knows no glory
Darkness covering paradise

Bill had a dark soul he knew no kindness
Like a devilish animal he was preying on the righteous
He only had one thing on his mind
That was turning good people into dallar signs
A rich pensionado from new mexico
Big house, big car, he was asking for it
Like a coyote Wild Bill tracked his prey
Followed the poor man home at the dusk of day
Then he shot him in the neck it all went black
Took a piss in the yard and then erased all tracks
He told the people "Well, this guy skipped town
He sold me the place, so it's my yard now"
Wild Bill was living large, he was on a roll
Sipping Jack, burning cash just to feed his soul
He was taking lives like he was the big creator
But he got sloppy in the end as the booze got him faded

This song tells the story
Of the Caribbean Murderer
This tale knows no glory
Darkness covering paradise

He carried on with his blood spattered venture for riches
But his next victims ex-husband then grew suspicious
Because he knew his wife would never part
With the place she loved with all of her heart
The local police started asking around
For this guy buying mansions all over town
Slowly his past in the US came to light
That's how they got Wild Bill in their sights
Then Sheriff noticed a dark spot in the back of the yard
He got his men digging till they hit something hard
The air turned quiet and their faces pale
As they saw the gruesome proof of this horrible tale
They put a price on his head and so the hunt began
For Pan-americas most wanted man and
In the end they found him in the land of Sandinista
Where he hid by the help of contrabandistas
After interrogations Bill finally confessed
And the officer involved later stated to the press
"Looking in his eyes I realised
This ain't a man, he's the devil's child "

Of the Caribbean Murderer
This tale knows no glory
Darkness covering paradise
