State of Insanity

In the search for perfection we lost ourselves
We had exactly what we needed and it was all good and well
When you make stuff up
You can choose to laugh
When it turns into lies
Nothing in this world is gonna last
I never believed to much of anything good could hurt
But it turns out I was mistaking
Even when it comes to love too much of it can
Leave your heart aching
In the broken back mirror we see our mistake
The oil's running low and the engine has started to shake

In other words it's mostly gibberish
So don't give it to much weight
A good part of all the freaks out there
Would rather die than give up hate
Because when you live
In what someone else says you need
You'll soon be buying air from a man in a suit
Just to be able to breath

So I've never had to much space in my heart
For the paper you painted with your greed
Somewhere along this long and winding road
You swapped integrity for shit you don't need
Can't you see that we bleed
Is everyone crazy or is it just me?
And am I supposed to live in this state of insanity?
