Table 3 - Radio Version

It smelt like stale perfume
In the room I argued with you
We left as the guitar was getting in tune
You tried to make me jealous by talking to a group of fellas
But they all look like my uncle Stu

I stood back and watched from a distance
That's when a red dress appeared by instance
She could have been a bit smaller
or maybe I could have been a bit taller

And nothing tonight's a surprise, I refuse to say my goodbyes
When the eyes start watching the clock
That's his queue to stop
And everyone at Table 3 can't stop staring at me

Well hands together for them, together till the end
The end of next week
Slow down and tell me again
You saw him and her kissing when
At least somebody's happy

And there she's round the side taking me round her lies
I feel like time has stopped Gin and Tonic fill it to the top

And nothing tonights a surprise, I refuse to say my goodbyes
When the eyes sore watching the clock
That's his queue to stop
And everyone at Table 3 can't stop staring at me

Now I'm at the bus stop caught by surprise I didn't know you were coming the same way as I
You looked so amazing from what I was taking, I come with you to stop my heart from aching
Forgotten conversations and un-healed thoughts
Holding us together like honey pots
Cigarettes will burn just like us
But I'm telling you now I won't make a fuss

And nothing tonights a surprise, I refuse to say my goodbyes
When the eyes start watching the clock
That's his queue to stop
And everyone at Table 3 can't stop staring at me
