Summer Meltdown

I'm not asking for another summer meltdown
Winter's already been crawling up and down my back
I'm dumping sorrow on the local graveyard
I'm cutting off the closest lads
Where I stand I may rest in in peace and quiet
20 meters down lies my head

Last summer I had this strange epiphany
I was born in the crib where you used to sleep
And just yesterday I caught you tracing my sleeve
Fingers placing on my knees

That's why I'm not asking for another summer meltdown
Spring has already cost me my last dying breath
I'm taking honor to the backyard
I'm digging up my rotten head

Today was the night and tonight marked the day
Wallowing in misery, supposed to be in an elevated state (taunting the misery, wallowing with grace)
My fading silhouette is what's causing the dismay
Down by the river bank is where my remains are off to sail

I'm not asking for another summer meltdown
Even fiendish autumn left me stained
People might say: "ignore triggering emotions"
Shockingly the godforsaken mission failed
Seasons will pass although seasons won't offer change

Inherently it's my perspective that I couldn't reshape
