Static

My future looks like static inside of my head
If I keep panicking, I can't progress
But I get so frantic that I can't get dressed
It's probably a test of my faith
Nervous I'll stay in my secular ways
Nervous that thinking will add some more weight
Nervous that thinking about thinking will lead me to think some more
I don't wanna overthink
I don't wanna open up a possibility to think about another thing
But I don't wanna close my mind cause if I'm close minded I miss possibilities
I got a potentially bright future ahead of me
But my IQ curves my melodies
In simpler terms, what I'm saying is
School's kinda hindering the main event
There's a lot going on and it's tragic
And my poor little noggin, they're gone crack it
In the midst of all of this madness
I just see static

There it is again
There's static in my head cause I'm feeling stressed
I'm panicking again, yeah I'm feeling stressed out
I begin to fret now
It started, oh it started
I just see static
I just see static

Look, if it keeps going, I don't know if I can take it
Gotten to the point I'm like borderline crazy
My shooting star is like barbed wire
Cause I see a dream but I'm not allowed to chase it
It feels like torture I'm sort of impatient
Jeopardize my dreams trying to get grades in
Opportunities are punching me right in the face but I just waste them
Sad times, cause I really wanna climb but I can't
Thought I could be quick but I'm in the sand
Trying again
Hopeless, but I can pretend that
It can change if I really put my mind to it
But I know that ain't right so I'm like screw it
Whole life I've been chasing this
So if school is in the way, is it okay to quit
Cause balancing the two ain't something I'm complacent with
It used to be, but nowadays the pace has shifted
If I do music, I gotta face statistics
I probably won't make a difference

There it is again
There's static in my head cause I'm feeling stressed
I'm panicking again, yeah I'm feeling stressed out
I begin to fret now
It started, oh it started
I just see static
I just see static
