Ferris Wheel Station

It is crazy how this place
Can remind me of your face
It's just an old Ferris wheel
It shouldn't be a big deal
Kids are running all around
Exploring the town
And all of this means something else to them

People are coming, meeting, leaving
And the wheel just keeps on turning
Once the 360 degrees are done
We get off and move on

I was hoping you'd buy more tickets
So we'd endlessly climb to the sky
But I've learned, we are only given one chance
And those are the rules of the fair

Now I'm sitting in the tube
Reflecting on my lonely mood
Looking at all those empty seats
Wondering why life's so bittersweet
There is no end to the line
But one to each passenger's ride
Life is a thread of stations and you're tied

People are hopping, waiting, stopping
And the tube just keeps on driving
Once we've travelled through the quintessence of existence
We get off then move on

I was hoping you'd buy more tickets
So we'd endlessly surf on the rails
But I've learned we are only given one chance
And those are the rules of the tube

I was hoping you'd buy more tickets
So we'd endlessly climb to the sky
But I've learned, we are only given one chance
And those are the rules of the fair

Yeah those are the rules of fair
Those are the rules of tube
Those are the rules
