To Be Frank

Hold, look at me wasting time
Soaking a sunken mind
With memories that were not mine
And show, me standing and waiting in line
For a hand out, or payment of crimes
Don't force me into the light

And I don't want to see
And I don't want to believe
Who I've failed to be

To be frank is to be no one at all
No ones forcing you to feel this small
And if you ask me you can bet that I'd crawl
Over broken glass to see you once more

So, I'm not who you thought you'd know
Not overly kind or painfully cold
Not a character or something that I wrote
Go on now go, and tell me its good for the soul
For better or worse or personal growth
To tear the page straight from the notes

And I don't want to see
And I don't want to believe
Who I've failed to be

To be frank is to be no one at all
No ones forcing you to feel this small
And if you ask me you can bet that I'd crawl
Over broken glass to see you once more

To be frank is to be no one at all
No ones forcing you to feel this small
And if you ask me you can bet that I'd crawl
Over broken glass to see you once more

And I, will continue my learning
And I, I won't lose this yearning
And try, to keep this flame burning
And I, would keep living just to see you once more
