I haven't done my homework in a few years
That's probably why mom has shed a few tears
I get a note that says "we want you here"
But who knows where I'll end up in a few years
My ADD would interrupt me all class
I'd fake a headache just to get a hall pass
The football team would threaten kicking my ass
I had to rig the system so that I'd pass

I got a letter from the uppers and the setters
Telling everyone they're better than me
I know you're smarter and you're gonna get farther
But don't tell me that you're better than me

If everybody's walking in a different way
Do I turn around or keep on down my lane
Do everything I've dreaded for no damn pay
But if I go to college then it's suddenly okay

Anxiety it better fucking pass soon
Or else I'll have to take my coat and hat soon
With everybody sitting in the back room
But I just spend the whole night in the bathroom

I'm getting better
Everyday is getting fresher
You don't gotta send that letter to me
I read the header
And it makes me want the sweater
But I wouldn't even go if it's free
