The Dance

He said I think I'll check the email
She heard him say I'd like some oatmeal
And though he wasn't hungry
She's just too good to refuse

He told her maybe I'll go fishing
Did you say baby, that's delicious?
Well, I could fix you up another bowl
He said I don't mind if I do

And it took him back some forty years
So long ago, so full of fear
When two young fools stood
