Cheap Paradise

I was gonna take a trip last Sunday
But life got right in my way
Thought I'd settle for an hour on the porch
With half a glass of Chardonnay
Had my favorite candle lit
It didn't quite do the trick

I need a bar where I never been
With an ole jukebox, it skips now and then
Thick cloud of smoke and gold Michelob on ice
That's my cheap paradise

They say there's nothing like the sun going down
On the beaches out in turtle bay
I might never step foot in that sand but to me hey, that's okay

Got a muddy river bank
A set of wheels and half a tank

Let's take a ride with the windows rolled down
Turn the whole world off and the music up loud
Find a spot on the levy we can lay back and close our eyes
That's my cheap paradise
My cheap paradise

We don't have to go that far
We got it all in our backyard

Let's take a walk, you can hold my hand
Pick some flowers from a field, put em in a coffee can
You can kiss me once if you promise you'll kiss me twice
That's my cheap paradise
My cheap paradise
