T-Shirt Suntan

Walk in a hotel room for one and throw the keys onto the bed
I'll take the phone off the hook, I'm not expecting any calls
I'll put the drinks into the sink and let the water run cold
But that never seems to work, no, I'm gonna drink them warm

I've got a t-shirt suntan
It's golden and it's pink
I've got sun-cream in my eyes
But I'm not used to the heat
There's not point unpacking yet
It's just too hot to sleep

The broken fan in the corner, rattles oh so loud
It almost drowns out the neighbours, they're arguing again
There's antique rust on the mirror, and dust in the sink
And I bet that TV doesn't work, no, of course it won't switch on

I've got a t-shirt suntan
It's golden and it pink
I've got sun-cream in my eyes
But I'm not used to the heat
There's not point unpacking yet
It's just too hot to sleep

The endless pounding heat, oh
It's just too hot to sleep
I've got a lust to leave, oh
It's just too hot to sleep
A travel book from '58
It's just too hot to sleep
I've got a lust to leave, oh
It's just too hot to sleep
It's just too hot to sleep
It's just too hot to sleep
It's just too hot to sleep

I've got a t-shirt suntan
It's golden and it pink
I've got sun-cream in my eyes
But I'm not used to the heat
There's not point unpacking yet
It's just too hot to sleep
