Encompassed by this emptiness

History repeating and we're running in circles
To find a shrapnel of humanity

And yet we claim moral authority
The only species to eradicate itself

Trembling masses stumble through the smoke
Shaking hands hold on to arms
Screams of sorrow pierce the silence in the wreckage
Where limbs adorn the ruins of a town

Is it the human condition
