Kenosis Hymn
He, who shared the form of God
Did not abuse his privilege
But poured himself for those he loved
And suffered like a slave
The cosmic Christ came drawing near
To humbly walk in human flesh
He shared our life and faced our death
Even to the cross
Therefore, God exalted him
And raised him up again
That, at the name of Jesus
Every knee will stop to bend
In heaven, on earth
And in the depths of hell
Every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
To the glory of God the Father
Did not abuse his privilege
But poured himself for those he loved
And suffered like a slave
The cosmic Christ came drawing near
To humbly walk in human flesh
He shared our life and faced our death
Even to the cross
Therefore, God exalted him
And raised him up again
That, at the name of Jesus
Every knee will stop to bend
In heaven, on earth
And in the depths of hell
Every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
To the glory of God the Father
