Over Again
I was walking down the street
Past the store I never seem to enter
I graced them with a visit but was told they wouldn't serve me
"Why won't you serve me" I said
"Don't you know who I am"
He said no I don't
I said well damn i don't know either
I was hoping you did
But far was it for me to be presumptuous
This man had likely never met me
But since I wasn't about to throw this away
I pretended i hadn't either
Unless it wasn't pretending which is of course very possible
I seem to be losing more and more of my head these days
The more it goes, the more it goes
The more i go with it until i'm not sure
Who I have met and haven't
So let's start this over again
Far and away was it for me to fall back into isolation
I knew I couldn't trust myself in this state
So I went to the bakery down the store
They always have some good things for me
I ordered some things
I'm not sure what anymore
I'm not sure they know
I just handed them some money and walked out
I'm not sure I even got food
But anyway, I left the door
I got my bike
It still rides
I'm not sure what anything rides anymore
It doesn't stop
The rusted handles make it really hard
But uh, it slows down enough
And that's all I need anymore
As long as lightning doesn't strike me
And i'm not floating off my bike
I'll be fine
Let's start it again
Past the store I never seem to enter
I graced them with a visit but was told they wouldn't serve me
