When I Was A Whore

I met a little gal 6 months ago
Told me that she loved me but I didn't know
And when I felt the same way, she had done walked out the door

I told her I loved her in her room one night
I guess the timing just wasn't right
Cause she looked at me like she never had before

Said another man came to me weeks ago
Said the same thing but he wasn't so slow
And in her pretty blue eyes, there was pity for my soul

I told her it's okay, said I understand
I waited too long there's another man
But if he don't act right, I'll be kicking down his door

Then I had a few drinks, had another too
For a little while I couldn't move
But the next damn day, I was up and out of bed

That day another gal came walking by
Said I don't wanna date, I said neither do I
Then we had our fun, and when we were done
She wouldn't stop that stare

Then she said that word, that dreadful word
I pretended that I hadn't heard
She said she loved me and I got the hell out of there
