Summer Day

Driving down the road while you are sitting next to me
Got that old Chevy fixed, the way that it has to be
When an old school-style country song is playing on the radiostation
We will meet some friends and have a classic summer day
All the way to Jennys house, her father has to pay
A sixpack on the backseat while the sun is shining down
Feel the heat beside the field, we're jamming to the beat

Whohoo
Remembering this summer day
Whoohoo
When you sing by the campfire
Whohoo
And everyone you love is close to you
So much greater than i ever knew

Twenty years up on the street, still thinking back sometime
Not everyone I knew back then is doing just the same
When an old school-style country song is playing on the radiostation
Last week we called that we can meet again some summer day
Not all of them will show up 'til the time that we just made
Gonna get that old Chevy fixed, to feel that time again
Now I'm driving down the same old street with a Sixpack on the backseat

Whohoo
Remembering this summer day
Whoohoo
When you sing by the campfire
Whohoo
And everyone you love is close to you
So much greater, than i ever knew

And after a while sitting down and drinking beer
I suddenly realized the night was just like the old days
It's never been to late to go and feel that time again
Remembering this day til' now cause the best nights never end

Whohoo
Remembering this summer day
Whoohoo
When you sing by the campfire
Whohoo
And everyone you love is close to you
So much greater than I ever knew

Whohoo
Remembering this summer day
Whoohoo
When you sing by the campfire
Whohoo
And everyone you love is close to you
So much greater than I ever knew
