Time

Everyday I wish that time ticks slowly
So I could find a way to balance and hold me
Down to the ground keep on floating away
As I drown out the sound when I'm dozing awake

But it seems that I'll never wake up
Stay in dreams of a Saturday's fun
Such a breeze when your heaven ain't much
But a seven day, un-delayed month
Passing through days in fast steady pace, out of touch
Its chapter per page, writing rushed
Will I last through this haze while I'm blinded from change
Or will I come back with a grudge?
Listen, Tick tick where'd the time go
Need a minute to be mindful
I'm a cynic with my eyes closed
And I'm feeling schizophrenic
Someone's stealing from my time zone
But what do I know
Time feels short and too much has passed
To recharge and restore, can't afford to relax
Cause I'm poor from the taxes
Unfortunate rations I gorge then resort to a fast

Starving for more time
It's getting harder and harder to find
Is it impossible to halt the flow?
Playing catch up inside of my mind

Everyday I wish that time ticks slowly
So I could find a way to balance and hold me
Down to the ground keep on floating away
As I drown out the sound when I'm dozing awake

Keep sleeping at home, not playing for keeps
I dream of bare faces replacing family
Relations turn dull with no time to reach
I'll settle for seconds then leave 'em
Dreaming of places to be
Finding the faults in complacent beliefs
Without regard left the taste of the sea
Knowing the change is to start when I see it

Starving for more time
It's getting harder and harder to find
Is it impossible to halt the flow?
Playing catch up inside of my mind

Everyday I wish that time ticks slowly
So I could find a way to balance and hold me
Down to the ground keep on floating away
As I drown out the sound when I'm dozing awake
Everyday I wish that time ticks slowly
So I could find a way to balance and hold me
Down to the ground keep on floating away
As I drown out the sound when I'm dozing awake
