Blue Collar Man

I drive a 97 square body Chevrolet I trust it more than some made today
That I bought with some hard earned cash nah my daddy didn't pay
I couldn't tell you the last time that I shaved
I come home dirty every single day
And if you like soft hands, well mine, they ain't the ones to shake
And I know there's more like me that do it this way

Yeah, we get knocked down, we get back up
We'd take on hell for the ones we love
On our knees sending prayers above
Cause without His help we couldn't get it done
We run on that caffeine and nicotine fix
And always say we're gonna quit
We work all day, sometimes all night
To give our home a decent life
And you might say that you don't understand
But everybody ain't cut out to be a blue collar man

Some get covered with grass, others with grease
Some got that sawdust all over them jeans
Or 15 stickers on a hard hat in the back seat
We're every trade across this land We built this place with our calloused hands
And if you think you'd make it without us, you're heads in the sand
Yeah, you better thank God above for the blue collar man

Yeah, we get knocked down, we get back up
We'd take on hell for the ones we love
On our knees sending prayers above
Cause without his help we couldn't get it done
We run on that caffeine and nicotine fix
And always say we're gonna quit
We work all day, sometimes all night
To give our home a decent life
And you might say that you don't understand
But everybody ain't cut out to be a blue collar man

Yea some of you boys I doubt could make it a day
But guys like me were born to do it this way

Yeah, we run on that caffeine and nicotine fix
And always say we're gonna quit
We work all day, sometimes all night
To give our home a decent life
And you might say that you don't understand
Yea you might say that you don't understand
But everybody ain't cut out
Yeah, everybody ain't cut out to be a blue collar man
