Love a Little Deeper

I've learned a lot of things on this earth
And some hard lessons since my birth
There are some that really hurt
And some that made me find my worth

I've learned that times in life can get hard
And for that stuff not to take your heart
Life is art. Your painter from the start

But the most important thing I've learned is this part

Live a life that is freer
Praise the redeemer
Speak a little sweeter
And love a little deeper

My parents taught me that you need to stay true
And everything people see is based on what you do
Life is meant to make amends and to not be through
You only live once it's not a loop

My grandparents taught me life is about laughing
Because it's all just a game and it's worth acting
It's not about the objects that people are having
Because they are the real ones confused and asking

But the most important thing they have taught is this last thing

I'm 21 and I have a lot more of this life to go
And I know there is a lot more things to know
I'll always be humble and I won't put on a show
I promise this until I am grown

And when I get married and turn 25 years old
And I have a few kids that I can call my own
Oh I will make sure that one lesson is sown
On everything I will make sure they know to
