Inferno Lost

Starve the ego, feed the soul

At first, I was trapped in the never-ending grasp
In the cold dead clasp of the sins of my past
Never looked back now, I'm on the wrong track
Fade to black, bring it back, now I know just where I'm at

All they do is yell, I hear the tolling of the bell
Thinking, "Well, I guess I'm headed straight for hell"
And maybe when I get there, I can finally get some fresh air
Fresher than the surface 'cause we know it, that the planet's hurting

And now I'm in limbo, I don't have a whim though
I'm looking out my window, it sure looks dismal
But this is just the intro, I can't feel my limbs, no
Just a million lost souls trapped here like minnows

As below, so above, now we're heading into lust
Take off your clothes and dance around in the lovely rust
If you must, yes, you must, because, it's what you want
It's what you want, you know it

'Cause you're a glut, you're a glut, you get fed to Cerberus
'Til what?
'Til the end of time, oblivion, all because
(It's what you want, it's what you want)
Pedal to the metal, it's not getting any better
And we're almost at the center, where the metal will get redder
But maybe once we get there, we can finally get some fresh air
Fresher than the surface 'cause we know it, that the plant's hurting

And we're doing this to cleanse the world of all its tricks and sins
For the amelioration to Earth and everyone within
(Let the devil in, Lucifer is gonna win)
The next stop is greed, we all know and we believe
That this one is the worst, and it's never gonna leave
This would be the one that we have the biggest problem with
It's corrupted the entire world on every continent
It's the seed of most of the things wrong with this planet

Don't you have enough?
No, it's never enough
No, I need more, more, more
(I'll start a world war if that's what it comes to)
(I'll tear a hole in the planet, just to be candid)

Now let's float down the river Styx through the circle of wrath
Into circle number six, down the heresy path
Nothing to see here, but anger, hate, and rage
Lumped altogether with the atheists in a cage
(How dare you not believe, don't you wear your faith on your sleeve?)

The opposite of heaven, now we're into circle seven
The howling sound will make you deaf
And maybe now, you'll learn your lesson
Don't hurt others or yourself, or else you'll end up on this shelf
Unfortunately, this is where my mother came to rest

I know that's not what she wanted and not what she meant
But in the end, the devil doesn't care for your two cents
This is where you belong, and where you're gonna rot
This is where you belong, and it's all a part of my plot

Further down the gate, into circle number eight
We got prostitutes and politicians
Fortune-tellers, fake religions, alchemists and counterfeiters
Thieves and impersonators, this one's pretty broad
But it all boils down to fraud

And now we're finally here in the center of the land of fear
Satan, can you help us? We got a lot of things to make clear
What do you want, mortal? Come on, spit it out
You cannot make demands now that you're in my house

Well, this planet is a circus, and what's worse is it's not worth it
To try to save it or reclaim it because it's beyond reparation
You're not doing your job, and apparently, neither is god
We have desperation, decimation at any second
Bombs flying in every direction, it's unprecedented
And then we need your help to cleanse the world
Of the scum and filth and the rest of it

Please get the Khan Makyr, we don't need a rapture
We need savior at any cost
Just make it quick and get it over with
I will take you up on that offer
Say goodbye to your water and hello to your culler
Hell will come to the surface, don't you fret or be nervous

Late is the plea of the penitent
I will bathe in the blood of the righteous
All will burn in the company of sin
My company shall harrow glorious sorrow
I will claim the flesh of man for my own tomorrow
Three houses in the halls of hell, two legions for each soul to sell
One to usher tribulation, I have come

Fear damnation
