Touching Grass

Was in a hurry to arrive somewhere
Didn't know the place neither the way
Used to bring myself down in every path
Each, every gap seen as mistake

I needed to get lost
Turn off the GPS for once
To learn about the things books can't tell you
See how well I can survive
A few days, a tent and me outside
Trust my inner self
In other words, I had to touch some grass

I used to check my plans religiously
My former had the final say
But that's the funny thing of every track
It changes in so many ways

I needed to get lost
Turn off the GPS for once
To learn about the things books can't tell you
See how well I can survive
A few days, a tent and me outside
Trust my inner self
In other words, I had to touch some grass

Sometimes, I know where I'm going
Others, I just hope for the best
Whatever happens, I'm glad to be alive
Some spots, I wanna visit
I'll do my best to get near them
Whatever happens, I'm glad at least I try

In other words, I'm glad I'm touching grass
