Pasta Fiesta

Some people always crave a dessert
Cause they got a sweet tooth and their life may be blue
Some other love a savory snack
They'll be happy with chips, pizza, fries
Or breadsticks
Some healthy individuals instead
Favor veggies and fruit, any meat substitute And as for me it may sound cliché
Stereotypically Italiano's my way

I never say no to a bowl of pasta
Cause you know that me gusta
Just a taste and I can't stop
And after you start
Then you can't have just one
Baby, this is the good stuff
A flavorful fiesta

Spaghetti please
With copious amounts of cheese
Twice a day
You'll eat your worries away

When life goes wrong and you're not okay Just call grandma she'll say
"Come have lasagna today"
And when you're feeling tired or sick
Nausea, headache or cold
Some pastina and you're gold
Your friends and you got into a fight
Cook 'em pasta and you'll find
Soon the quarrels behind
And if there's something to celebrate
Bake some ziti and you'll get
A party they won't forget

Nobody says no to a bowl of pasta
When you cook and they taste it
Best believe that they can't stop
And after they start
Then they can't have just one
It's al dente, it's the good stuff

Just cook it right
Or get it out of my sight
I love it all
But here's some types I adore

Baked macaroni, be it penne or rigatoni
With a lot of parmigiana
Mozzarella, meat and marinara
Carbonara, pesto pasta or amatriciana
Or just olive oil and pepper
With some garlic to make it better
Clams with linguini, ham tortellini
The list goes on and on
You gotta try them all
