Dandelion

Please be careful with my Dandelion
For he may fall apart under your hand
He can handle normal weather
But a windy day may be his ruin
Somehow he knows that with a little sun and a little rain
Time is all he needs to put things back together again

He may not be a sunflower but he's a Dandelion
(Dandelion)
And on a good day his color still shines the same
(Dandelion)
Even if he falls apart or loses his head or takes over your garden
(Dandelion)
You know that he's some kind of flower and he always grows back again
Do do do do do do do do

Now there are those who do not like the Dandelion
But they never tasted of the tender green (woah)
You see it's all in the way that you look at him
Is he a vagabond or is he merely free?

(You see) He may not be a sunflower but he's a Dandelion
(Dandelion)
And on a good day his color still shines the same
(Dandelion)
Even if he falls apart or loses his head or takes over your garden
(Dandelion)
You know that he's some kind of flower and he always grows back again

Everybody is beautiful
Everybody is necessary and beautiful

Now the sunflower may stand up oh so straight and tall
And give of himself the seeds of his face
But the Dandelion may grow all around
And in profusion be useful and scattered not in vain

(Oh and) He may not be a sunflower but he's a Dandelion
(Dandelion)
And on a good day his color still shines the same
(Dandelion)
Even if he falls apart or loses his head or takes over your garden
(Dandelion)
You know that he's some kind of flower and he always grows back again

Yeah he's a Dandelion
Ah Yeah
(Dandelion)
A Dandelion ahh
Ah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Dandelion)

Dandelion
(Dandelion)
And he's some kind of flower and he always grows back again
'Cause he's a Dandelion
Ah Yeah
