Wildflower

My dark eyes sank closed
And cried for a breath of life
As blood red skies rained down
Death for a night
Wildflower

Gaze through my senses open
Up and reveal intense
Circular motions
As I lay in the field of
Wildflowers

It's been six months since she died
I lay there as she holds back the tide
And all I see are those pale blue eyes
As she takes one last breath
At the end of her life

Memories fade as time goes on
And on, I won't forget the day
When I learned your name
Wildflower

Flamingo it's time to hide away
I won't tell a soul
About your garden of
Wildflowers

It won't count if I don't love her right
The flowers wilt, in her absence cracked and dry
As my bloody knuckles beat up and down these harrowed walls
I fear I am near the end of my life

It's been twelve years since she died
I lay there, and I float out with the tide
All I see are her pale blue eyes
As I take one last breath at the end of my life
