(Sam) A picture, A postcard, that
Smell in the air, A
Feeling that things, weren't so
A man, and a Woman, standing there
Completely unaware of what I know
Shouting so loud, no matter the time
Like ev'ry night, exactly the same
Stuck in my room, trying to hide
Trying to figure out, whos' to blame

I can't see where I'm going
Like the shutters in my mind
Like the flickers, of an ember
The answers I cannot find, And
When I look back to my past, the
Shutters block my view
The past is closed to me, and it's so
Difficult to see, I struggle to push through

I remember, an image, it blurs in my mind
That feeling of his embrace, it's been so hard to find
I picture, him standing, a note in his hand
A letter, to help us "Understand"

So before, you tell me, to move on from this
And before, you say, it's been too long
Take a moment, to know this feeling
That the girl you knew, is gone!
Long Gone!

In that picture, on the table, of the
Three of us, Three of a Kind
I remember, that image, from the
Shutters, in my mind
