Neskowin Parade

Let's go in to Neskowin, 4th of July
Candy hits the ground with a firecracker sound
Crowds are flying high
All our cars and the mayor and the dog
Are dressed for Uncle Sam's birthday
Today our whole town is on parade
Cards in the bike spokes passing by the old folks
Sitting in their folding chairs
Kids on horseback, flags on the gun rack
Sulfur in the salty air
Celebrating the amazing thing
Our freedom's here to stay
Today our whole town is on parade
Well not a whole lot goes on around here
The other days of the year
From Labor Day to late May every other house
Is empty 'til the summer comes near
Starts down Hawk Street
Left on Amity, turn again on Breakers Ave
Don't need a fancy float, we decorate an old boat
We use what we have
Parade's so short there's time to build a sand fort
Chugging on a hard lemonade
Today our whole town is on parade
Oh today our whole town is on parade
Oh today our whole town was on parade
