Bloom

A seed is planted in driest ground
In deepest darkness can hope be found
I hear a stirring from up ahead
But I am stuck here inside these depths
I just wanna listen to the rain
To hear the dance of freedom once again
And let the noise distract me from the pain
That's in my soul
The rain is seeping into the dirt
Water soaking into the hurt
The seed is breaking, roots reaching down
In deepest darkness new life is found
And I just wanna sit here in the rain
Let these dry bones soak up every drop of rain
And feel the water flowing through my veins
To heal my soul
A sprout is pushing pathways through earth
Up from the struggle giving it worth
The leaves are stretching into the sky
Lifting sunward into the light
I just want to stand here in the rain
Let it wash away my guilt and all my shame
Feel the weight of darkness wash away
And clean my soul
And then a blossom takes it's form
Up from the ashes beauty is born
The roots have strengthened from down below
Giving the blossom courage to grow
And bloom, bloom, bloom
Open up to the world, bloom, bloom
Wider and wider
Bloom, bloom, bloom, bloom, bloom
Oh
I just wanna dance here in the rain
Let forgiveness take away the blame
Let the joy, and hope, and peace remain
And free my soul
