Bloom

A seed is planted in driest ground
In deepest darkness can hope be found
I hear a stirring from up ahead
But I am stuck here inside these depths

A sprout is pushing pathways through earth
Up from the struggle giving it worth

Feel the weight of darkness wash away
And clean my soul
And then a blossom takes it's form
Up from the ashes beauty is born
The roots have strengthened from down below
Giving the blossom courage to grow
