Savior

Tears runnin down your funny face
And I'm pickin' up all the broken pieces
Savin' them
Oh, yeah

See no end, and I fear no man
Means to end as long as we can
No telling, unraveling
Pushing through it all as long as we can
Your savior is a sacred melody
I don't know how it goes, but I can try

Okay, is it recording? (The doors are made of glass)
Alright, well, I saw (and there's a large crack that looks like lightning striking, uh, inside in the lobby)
A main section that split into two parts (the floor is black and white, checkered tile)
One side was to the left and it was dark (but there is one tile missing, a black tile to the left)
But lit by candle light and machines (there are)
Slot machines, poker machines, TVs (slot machines)
And it had a nice—nice scent to it

And the other half is bright and white and almost sterile (to the right is a counter, I sit at the counter)
But it had a hardwood floor
No windows, a convenience store
You could buy snacks (the daily special is a meatball sub)
Hot chicken, rice, vanilla ice cream, and green beans and peas, and things like that (and french vanilla ice cream, one scoop)

Um, and they had kind of flimsy tables (uh, I sit at the counter)
And the food got brought to you (and I look to the left there)
On trays, red trays (a man playing accordion, but he doesn't look at me)
And the other half (and I wait at the counter, um, I fall asleep at the counter)

Um, and then in the middle, it split off into a hallway (and when I wake up, all the lights are out)
And the hallway had rooms, and the rooms were, um, motel rooms (and the man is still playing the accordion)
They were small, they didn't have windows (I get up to leave, but the front door is locked)
But they felt nice, they felt cozy (so, I walk back through the kitchen and past the walk-in freezer)
They all had TVs (and I open the back door)

And at the end of the hall was one suite (it's now nighttime, and it's raining)
And it had astroturf as the carpet (outside the door, there is a silver convertible)
And a tent, and then (that seems to have been abandoned, and it's filled with gravel)
The walls were pained kind of a darker color mixed with greys (and it starts raining harder and harder)
And it had a purple rain falling (I walk to the other side of the car to get a better look)
A light rain from the ceiling (at the back of the building, the rain keeps falling and falling)
And that's the rain room (and, uh, it starts to flood)

And then near the food, the dining room, and the cash register (looking around, I see a lawn chair)
There was a place you could eat, you know, it was a picnic room (that I go, and I sit on the lawn chair as the water raises up to my neck)
But it had astroturf for carpet (and the lawn chair starts floating in the water)
And then bright blue paint on the wall (until I reach the level of the roof, then it stops raining)
And it had a skylight (but I paddled towards the roof, where the accordion man is playing)

Um, and then downstairs was the bathroom (a new song)
They were all individuals bathrooms (and he starts to sing "What does the rain bring?")
And they had striped wallpaper (and he keeps singing, uh, "What does the rain bring?" as he plays his accordion)
And kind of a Midwest style (it sounds like a sad, sad song)
And it was green and black (but he had a big smile on his face)
And on the green, there was patterns of red paw prints (and we sit on the roof together, and I ask him his name)
Uh, all over the walls (and then, uh)
And there were nice sinks (time was up)
And it felt good
And that's what I saw (and that's what I saw)
