Blueberry Indigo (Live)

I wandered wayward west on a
wistful wind of whispered dreams,
shadow shepherds shaping
shallow shells of sheltered me.

By the ocean, commotion of potent emotion
eroded my notion of home, so
I ran from land, a man unmanned
in the grand expanse of the sea.

People change like the ocean,
adrift in deep blueberry indigo, but
like the youthful smile of that sun will rise,
I'll always come back home.

The unwavering waves of my waning faith
brought my doubts at dusk ashore
to a ghostly coast of broken hopes,
a jagged black noir.

I saw liquid silver tides
beside the seaside at night:
lucid fluid moonlight,
a shimmering shoreline of fallen stars.

People change like the ocean,
adrift in deep blueberry indigo, but
like the youthful smile of that sun will rise,
I'll always come back home.

"No man is an island" —
horizons remind me I'm not alone.
So I'll float over unknowns
until the morning shows its glow, but
I hope that you know:
I may be older, but I'm close.

People change like the ocean,
ever different yet ever the same.
Even in blueberry indigo,
I'll never lose my way.
