Must Be

I've been seeing shapes and colors, which I don't recognize
I've not heard a sound like you before, thus my longing intensifies
I thought everything was built upon what we already know
You must be the lines and curves of something truly novel

You smell like desire, in all its purist forms
Crisp and clean, a mid-winter's dream of days that are long and warm
You must be the heightened state of a memory from long ago
The spark to blame for my open flame, raging out of control

And I'm thinking you must be

Some kind of truth to discern
Some sort of secret to learn
An untold wonder to behold
You must be a love new and old

I've been restricting my blood flow, and forgetting to breathe
Straining all my muscles just to get a release
When you touch me, I get a rush, a meridian response
When you tend to me you mend me and send me to beyond

And I'm thinking you must be

Some kind of truth to discern
Some sort of secret to learn
An untold wonder to behold
You must be a love new and old

You must be a sacred cosmos, one with a vivid design
Both the past and the future, you must be divine

You must be
Some kind of truth to discern
Some sort of secret to learn
An untold wonder to behold
You must be a love new and old
