This the life of a star
People saying that I'm he, mama, yes I've come so far
I was born in time, or at least, that's what they say
truth be told I saw a flash
I don't remember much about that day

It's life, then death

Of course, yes I know who I am
And now I know why I stand
I ran, before I walked
I planned, yes before I talked
In school, I remember the teachers taught
Couldn't pass a test, but I wrote a lot Backpack it was filled with thoughts
By third grade I was ready to drop

My first job was slinging nails
Brother, I was only ten
Never had a summer to play
I had that cash to bring in
Tina told me to enjoy my youth "Cause son, it goes by quick"
I remember at her service thinking
"JT, yeah, it sure nuff did"

It's life, yes then death, I will die, but then I live...

Whoa, now I am a man, my brother And I stand on business
Yes they ask me what I do
And I say I live, for a living now
I'm not worried about stacking racks
I'm just focused on the facts
My whole life bruh, I've never lacked, so take some time and think on that

Growing up life was hard
But I found out that I'm harder
