Little game called Life

All of the warning signs led me to flashlights burning demons while I cry
Scars they gave me will never heal, as I play a little game called life

All my rights turned to wrongs as I tried to do no harm
Maybe my problems should go unsolved, maybe I should let go
Is this all too much
Should I just leave you alone
Am I able to do anymore
Should I walk out the door
When will I learn to fly
When will I save my own life

Why do we play by the rules
What do we spin to lose
Where can we play our cards
Where is the space for no charge
Wouldn't life be nice
I'm stuck playing the game called life

Time will pass us by, as we fly through the sky
Nighttime will fall upon us, as our thoughts tumble like dominos
Monsters peek out of the shadows, so we sit down and we wallow

Tear stained faces paint my memories
When will I learn from my mistakes
Is it time to walk away
Or are you telling me you'll stay
You're just another player in the game
Many problems arise, I guess it's my messed up mind (oh)
I'm trying to find my way through the game
Through the game of life

Welcome to the messed up game
The game we play is called life
Life isn't easy like we hoped, its just crazy like some old joke
Life will begin to fail us now, as you learn to play the game
If it is really our fate, well baby that's check and mate
Nothing left to say, no more better days
No more places to hide, no places to strive, in the little game called life
