Below the Big Dipper

I made the mistake that has to be made
When the walls become so small I can't even stand
I went for a walk through the town, bellow the Big Dipper
The storm had torn down pieces of the roof from the hall of the clown

And a raven stood by with stars in his eyes
And tears melting into the rain
What is this game
What is this game

On a night time train hurtling forwards to somewhere past where
The telephone rings but the number has changed
Moonlighting as a picture of waste, between ordinary lives unchanged
It should've been a story, but it was just yesterday, that no one moved to save

The raven who stood by with stars in his eyes
And tears melting into the rain
What is this game
What is this game
