At the Beach

I was at the beach
Which in and of itself is kind of weird
And when I went swimming
It only made the situation weirder
A crowd of people gathered around
Tried to tell me what to do
No swimming allowed, no swimming allowed
It's not good for you

At the beach
I am
At the beach

Nobody really knows what I'm all about
Except for maybe my wife and my kids and my friends and my dog
And anyone who's out and about
So I take it on the chin
Do what I'm supposed to do
Except when I don't
And people say to me
What the hell is wrong with you

At the beach
I am
At the beach

I was at the beach
Watching the world cave in
Nobody noticed me
Except for the aforementioned people who didn't want me to swim
So I laid myself down in the snow
Right next to you
And you turned to me and said
Well what is it now we're supposed to do
