It's a depiction of myself
This is my self portrait
Discernibly me this is not someone else
These are the relevant elements I ascribe to the man I think I am

This is not political
This is not a game
This is more than something that I felt and gave a name
This is my work
It's pertinent to my internal sense of worth
Prolific and eclectic with a bent to self reflect
I trust in the muse and then I bust another lyric

That's my speciality
The medium through which I express reality

Just like a pen or a hammer or a book on a shelf
You can set it down to look around and get something else
I believe
In the power of music to heal

When you feel it you know when it's real

All things beautiful feel like music
But music is music
That's why I choose it
Every day in the living rooms backyards and basements
Picking up my instrument and laying down the basics

If you like my songs I want to know what your name is
