Dreams Come True

When I was just a little girl they asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up
I had my mind made up, said "I'm gonna be a star real soon"
Now I think back to that time and wonder what would I do
If she was sitting in front of me, in this very room
Little girl with big ole dreams
I'd tell her everything we've done and once I finished I hope she says

She always said we would and now I'm doing what she wanted to do
Singing songs to people, and playing my guitar, and here in a year or two, I'll make it far
But if she could see me now, I'm sure she'd be amazed and I'd hope that she would say
